This ratio also suits endurance sports due to carbohydrate content. When considering fat profiles and needs, all three ratios tested prove effective, offering lower atherogenic values compared to dairy or meat products. As for mineral content, these formulations provide good amounts of potassium, calcium, and magnesium. Aronia emerges as the preferred source of minerals, making the A2:P1 formula ideal for high mineral loss situations, such as intense training.
To evaluate antioxidant capacity, the researchers employed various tests, including DPPH, TEAC, FRAP, and CUPRAC. Intriguingly, bee pollen and Aronia demonstrated distinct results across these tests. Bee pollen exhibited superior antioxidant capacity in the DPPH and TEAC assays, while Aronia outperformed in the FRAP and CUPRAC tests. This variation can be attributed to the different antioxidant compounds present, with pollen rich in polyphenols and Aronia abundant in anthocyanins.
