Transforming EU Beekeeping: B-GOOD Legacy Unveiled in New Booklet
In a groundbreaking initiative, the B-GOOD project (Giving Beekeeping Guidance By Computational-Assisted Decision Making) has set a new course for sustainable and healthy beekeeping in the European Union. Focused on collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches, B-GOOD merged data from beehives, socioeconomic conditions, and innovative risk assessment tools, empowering beekeepers to make informed decisions.
The Legacy Unveiled: To ensure the seamless communication of scientific information and the practical application of results, B-GOOD has unveiled a special Legacy booklet encapsulating the project's main achievements and pivotal research. This strategic publication employs a visual impact, enhancing memorability and simplifying complex concepts for broader comprehension.
Key Highlights: The first section offers a concise summary of the key findings from each work package, providing a glimpse into the profound achievements of B-GOOD throughout its duration. In the spirit of delivering practical research outputs, the second part of the booklet features a dedicated section for key published research papers. These papers focus on outcomes with tangible practical value, incorporating 15 graphical abstracts that offer succinct recommendations for stakeholders upon implementation of the generated knowledge.
Professor Dirk de Graaf's Reflection: Professor Dirk de Graaf, B-GOOD’s coordinator, reflects on the project's transformative journey. "Over the past four and a half years, the B-GOOD project has given us the opportunity to develop a new perspective for the beekeeping sector in Europe. The use of advanced technologies was not avoided. While this new perspective initially looked very futuristic and perhaps even daring, it has now become really concrete, and we notice a growing enthusiasm among the actors in the beekeeping sector. The legacy of B-GOOD cannot be underestimated. I am proud that I was able to be part of this."
