Bee the Talk of the Town With “Inside the Hive: Honey Bees and Beekeeping”
Bees are a truly remarkable creature. While you may not have ever considering bringing bees to your own backyard, many find beekeeping to be a relaxing, educational, and rewarding experience. For those looking to try their luck with a hive at their own home, please join the New Jersey State Library for their next virtual webinar, “Inside the Hive: Honey Bees and Beekeeping”.
On Wednesday, July 17th, the New Jersey State Library invites you to “bee” a part of an afternoon discussion centered on the basics of beekeeping. These important pollinators play an integral role in keeping our planet going, and now you can learn how to do your part and protect this species for years to come. This conversation will be held from 12pm to 1pm on Zoom. As this is a virtual webinar, there is no need for attendees to be physically present at the library and are welcome to tune in remotely. Throughout the conversation, guests will have the opportunity to cover a number of key topics, including:

And much more! Your host for the afternoon will be Jean Miller is a Cornell Master Beekeeper and a Rutgers Master Gardener from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Hunterdon County. As a subject matter expert, Ms. Miller has traveled to Kenya twice in order to study honey bees. This well-traveled naturalist has also traveled to over 50 National Parks, as well as every continent except Antarctica. By the conclusion of this engaging conversation, you will be abuzz with the possibilities of beginning your own beekeeping journey!
