25 farmers sent by Star Cement to undergo training on beekeeping

Twenty-five farmers from Narpuh, East Jaintia Hills are undergoing training on scientific beekeeping conducted by the Rural Resource and Training Centre (RRTC) at Umran in Ri Bhoi.

Sponsored by the department of CSR – Star Cement Company, the farmers are from the villages of Brishyrnot, Khaddum, Pandare, and Lumshnong.

These farmers had received two beehives each and other materials during the four days training held from August 21 to 24.

The CSR Manager of Star Cement, Lumshnong, K.K.Borah assured that the department will continue its support to the farmers of the region.
