Bees ‘savagely’ attack driver who crashed into their hive, California police say
A driver who hit a beehive before crashing into a house wound up facing a swarm of angry bees, California police reported.
The crash took place at about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, Buena Park police said in a news release on Instagram.
“Nobody was injured as a result of the collision, but a bee hive was also damaged and the occupants were not pleased,” police said in the release.
The bees “savagely attacked” the driver, who was taken to a hospital with multiple bee stings, police said.
Orange County Fire Authority firefighters sprayed the bees with soapy water to calm them down, police said.
A video posted with the release shows a car crashed into a house and firefighters spraying the angry bees.
Police did not provide further information about the crash.
