CM Bugti inaugurates plantation campaign in Quetta

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti inaugurated the plantation campaign of the monsoon season by planting a pine tree in the provincial capital Quetta on Friday.

Provincial ministers including Mir Sadiq Umrani, Mir Saleem Khan Khosa, Haji Ali Madad Jatak, Mir Barkat Rind and Chief Conservator of Forests Niaz Mohammad Kakar were also present.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed that special attention should be paid to the plantation campaign in

Balochistan.

He said that all members of the Provincial Assembly (MPAs) should play a role in promoting plantation in their respective areas.

He said that plantations were necessary to avoid the effects of climate change saying that Balochistan was also facing abnormal rains and floods due to irregular climate change.

Steps are being taken to combat the challenges of climate change, he said.
