Andaz Scottsdale Recognizes National Honey Month with bees, honey libations and more

From tasty honey treats and hands-on beekeeping workshops to refreshing honey spa treatments, Andaz Scottsdale Resort & Bungalows will highlight honey all September long in celebration of National Honey Month.

The resort invites both hotel guests and the public to bee their guest and experience honey-centric offerings across the on-site spa, restaurant and hands-on workshops.

Last year, in partnership with Alvéole, Andaz Scottsdale launched an on-site beekeeping program devoted to reconnecting people in cities to nature. On September 6 at 3 p.m., the resort will host From Hive to Honey Jar — a free hands-on honey extraction workshop. Under the guidance of an expert beekeeper, guests will uncap honeycomb cells, spin them in a centrifugal extractor and filter the raw honey before jarring and labeling a take-home treat. Andaz will also host Meet the Bees — a free, immersive experience where guests can step into the shoes of a beekeeper as they open and inspect real, buzzing hives — on September 26 at 3 p.m.

At the resort’s restaurant, Weft + Warp, visitors and guests can savor the buzz with a honey-themed menu including a Bees Knees cocktail, a Whipped Feta Crostini topped with a drizzle of golden honey, and Burnt Honey Gelato.

Palo Verde Spa & Apothecary, Andaz Scottsdale’s spa, will offer honey-based treatments, including the Just Bee Massage, Bee Natural Facial and Bee You Manicure, all month.

Guests of the resort can also enjoy complimentary honey-themed welcome amenities, including the Getaway cocktail — a blend of vodka, grapefruit, honey and sparkling wine — and honey-infused cookies. Exclusive Andaz honey made from the resort’s on-site hives will also be available for purchase at the lobby store.
