Louisville-based nonprofit that helps relocate honey bee swarms holding conference
APIS Rescue is a Louisville-based nonprofit that focuses on rescuing honey bee swarms and doing research with them to help their survival.
The organization says honey bees are important because they are good pollinators for farmers and easy to manage and move around to different farms.
The nonprofit works with local beekeepers to help relocates honey bee swarms.
They are holding a conference for beekeepers to share more about their mission. That is happening 8 a.m. on Feb. 1 at the Founders Union Building. That's at 450 North Whittington Parkway.
The conference is aimed at advanced and intermediate beekeepers, but beginners are welcome as well.
