Beekeeper Comes to the Rescue as Around 180,000 Bees Found Living in Ceiling

A Scottish beekeeper removed what he estimated to be between 150,000 and 180,000 bees from the ceiling of a house recently, after the occupant noticed some swarming on his property.

Mark Andrew Card, of the Loch Ness Honey Company, recorded this astounding footage, which shows the stripped-back ceiling of an Inverness home coming down with bees.

Card said that three colonies, each containing around 60,000 bees, were retrieved from the property and placed into his business’s apiaries. Credit: Mark Andrew Card via Storyful

It were a nice wee bee colony up in M and S. Uh, spare bedroom, double window.

It's, um, quite a big one.

This one probably close on 80,000 bees.

I would imagine all in your bedroom.

CE it's maybe not the best thing for everybody, so we'll cut them out.

We'll use the old B back now to start hoovering them out, get the coal out, and then we'll proof the hole.
