Heat in Ukraine will only increase - Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center

The situation with heat in Ukraine can only worsen every year.

The spokeswoman of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, Nataliya Ptukha, informed Media Center Ukraine about this on Wednesday, July 17.

According to her, the increase in temperature covered not only Ukraine and South-Eastern Europe, but also the United States. On the west coast, temperature maxima were recorded for the entire history of observations for certain weather stations.

"Currently, there are trends towards worsening of the heat situation every year. And this trend persists, and from year to year there are more and more periods with warm weather, with heat waves, and periods with cold weather are becoming less and less. There is such a dependence, and climatologists the whole world is talking about it," Ptukha said.

The spokeswoman said that the predicted winter temperature has already been exceeded by 1.5 degrees.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the absolute maximum temperature was exceeded for the second time in the last week in Mykolaiv.

In Kyiv on Monday, July 15, the maximum air temperature turned out to be the highest during the time of observations for this date.

On July 14, three temperature records were set in Kyiv.
