Learn the Basics of Beekeeping with a $5 Class in Court House

Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will hold the program “From Hive to Honey – An Intro to Honeybees & Beekeeping” on Wednesday, September 25. The class will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Courthouse – South Dennis Road, in Cape May Court House.

The presenter will be Jen Sawyer Caraballo, ANR Program Associate for Cape May County.

Participants will learn about the basics of honeybee biology, the role of the beekeeper & the bees, and products of the hive. Jen will also have a few different honeys for tasting!

“There are so many people interested in beekeeping, so I wanted to give a talk that will go over the basics. After this class, I hope people will reach out to their local beekeeping association or take a beekeeping course,” said Sawyer Caraballo.

The cost to attend this presentation is $5. This is a beginner class; therefore, no experience is needed, however, registration is required at: https://go.rutgers.edu/bix6sakd.
