Beekeeping, gardening and chickens – on the farm with David Beckham
How things have changed for David Beckham. His Instagram posts used to revolve around football, fashion and motorbikes but these days he's more interested in chickens, dogs, gardening and beekeeping.
The 49-year-old recently shared a series of images from his estate in the English Cotswolds with his nearly 90 million followers, which he captioned “country life”.
The pictures show running chickens and the former footballer with his dogs Olive, Sage, Fig and Simba enjoying the fresh country air in an open field.
There are also photos of his bee farm and some mushrooms and leeks which he may or may not have harvested from his property.
And David did not disappoint when it came to showing off his toned physique, sharing a shirtless picture taken near the outdoor sauna he and his wife, Victoria (50), had built on the estate they bought in 2016.
David is currently taking a break at his £6 million (R132m) Cotswolds home after a busy month of events which included his wife's new perfume launch and his 22-year-old son Romeo’s debut as a model at Paris Fashion Week.
The father of four also supported his eldest son, Brooklyn (25), at the launch of his new hot sauce brand.
Now Becks is taking a break from the spotlight to spend time on his farm, working the soil and collecting chicken eggs and honey from his beehives.
Last month he updated his followers on the progress of his crop of kale, which he said was doing well.
“I can hear my East End mates going, ‘He has changed’,” he wrote with a laughing emoji in the caption of the video.
“My wife said shorten the video down but obviously didn't listen so I'm sorry . . . My content used to be motorbikes and camping now it's kale, honey & flowers for the house.”

Victoria gave her husband the chickens as a Christmas gift last year. They've kept the sports star busy with him lovingly building a coop for them and waiting patiently for them to lay eggs.
The estate in southwest England, which fans got a peek of in the Netflix documentary Beckham, has become a haven for the Beckham family.
